A biological hazard, or biohazard, refers to any biological substance that poses a risk to the health of living organisms, including humans. A biohazard includes microorganisms or toxins capable of negatively impacting human health. Biohazards can also damage a home over time (e.g: mold and fungi can weaken building materials).
